In 1989, Hyi Ja Jung and Seung Chul Choi opened their first restaurant in Korea — a charcoal grill house rooted in the traditions of Korean BBQ. In 2002, the family brought their passion to Germany, taking over the Koreahaus in Hannover’s Vahrenwald district. Six years later, Restaurant Chois opened its doors on Lister Meile — and a new chapter began. In 2017, the second generation joined: Jeong In, a trained chef from the Sofitel Munich, and Jeong Hurn, who studied economics in Freiburg. Together with their parents, they transformed Chois into what it is today — a refined, authentic Korean restaurant where family recipes, fresh ingredients, and genuine hospitality come together at every table.
